About Us

Cal-Ag Enterprises, Inc. was established in 1969 by Robert “Bob” Sparks, in the rural farming community of Dinuba, California, located in the central part of the San Joaquin Valley. Since the beginning Cal-Ag (CAE) has specialized in agricultural implements used in the overall maintenance of orchards and vineyards.

In 1982 Cal-Ag was appointed as an Importer/Distributor for “PERFECT” VAN WAMEL Brush Shredders and Rotary Mowers, manufactured in Holland, for the Southwest portion of the U.S.A. We maintain stock of various models of shredders and mowers, a complete stock of replacement parts, along with support and service for said equipment.

Cal-Ag also specializes in the innovative method of chemical spray applications in vineyards and orchards by the use of Electrostatic Spray Systems. We have represented the Kinkelder Sprayers, KWH Whirlwind Holland Sprayers and are currently a dealer for LECROBLAST SPRAYERS sales, parts and service. LECTROBLAST is a U.S.A. manufacturer located in Modesto, California. Since Robert’s passing in January 1994, the company has been operated by his wife, Cecilia “Cis” Sparks and long-time associates, brothers, Jose and Carlos Sanchez. In 2005 Cal-Ag moved to its current location in Fowler, California, which is approximately 10 miles south of Fresno, California.

Cal-Ag’s philosophy is quite simple… we believe in treating people the way we want to be treated… with respect and consideration. We are a team and our goal, along with the manufacturers of the product lines CAE represents, is to provide complete customer satisfaction with product and service.

About Our Team

CECILIA “CIS” SPARKS, wife of founder Robert “Bob” Sparks, became involved with Cal-Ag when Bob passed away in January 1994. It was a true test of fire as she had very little knowledge about the business itself. At that time, Bob’s warehouse person, Jose Sanchez, who was only 25 years old, was invaluable with his support and help in educating her. Against all odds, they persevered, running the company successfully after Bob’s passing. She is the “internal affairs go-to person”. In other words, office manager… banking, accounts receivable & payable, etc. She is majority share holder, President of Cal-Ag Enterprises, Inc.
JOSE M. SANCHEZ, has been with the company since 1989. He began working in the warehouse stocking parts, preparing parts orders for delivery to customers, assembling shredders, mowers and sprayers, along with general warehouse maintenance. In the summer of 1994 he was placed in the position of General Manager, Machine Sales and Service. The relationships he has established with both wholesale customers and retail customers is one of trust and reliability. It has been said “if you want a vendor who will be there for you” Jose and Cal-Ag are it. He is a minority share holder, Secretary and General Manager of Cal-Ag Enterprises, Inc.
CARLOS H. SANCHEZ, has been with the company since 1997. His position is Warehouse Parts and Service Manager. Main duties are assembling machines, inventory control, receiving parts orders, filling parts orders. Most important is his ability to converse with customers, asking the right questions, determining their needs and being able to respond with an answer that is satisfactory. He also does in-shop (and when necessary, in-field) repairs and services for all Cal-Ag’s product lines. He is a minority share holder, Vice-President and Warehouse Manager of Cal-Ag Enterprises, Inc.
